The Waldrops faced a 'hard' decision
The channel, known for filming unique real life stories, followed the Waldrops for three seasons, before the family decided to call it quits. In 2021, TLC approached the Waldrops about adding a 4th season. "We have decided that what's best for our family ... is to not continue with the show," said Courtney.
The hit TLC show, "Sweet Home Sextuplets," followed the trials and travails of the Waldrop family since its premiere in 2018. But, they feel in their heart of hearts it is time to move on. The couple agree that making the decision to be part of a reality TV show was not an easy one. Courtney and Eric prayed about it and talked about it. Eventually, they made the decision to be a part of the series. So, understandable,Sweet Home Sextupletsfans assume making the decision to step back out of the reality TV world would be just as hard.
The show first aired on TLC in 2018 with six one-hour episodes. Fans got an inside look at the family before the babies were even born, which was something viewers hadn't seen before on TLC. I look forward to something in the future so we can all see how the kids grow up. Courtney and Eric Waldrop continue to explain they’ve decided it is best for their family to move forward without production crews following them around for the time being. Now, they acknowledge how difficult it was to make this decision because they have such “precious” and “loyal” fans.
Bear in mind, they have nine of them, including Saylor and the twins. Additionally, Eric works really hard with his ranch livestock and his landscaping businesses. However, all was not completely lost because Courtney shares about the kids almost every single day. Ultimately, the two decided to go forward with the show — but with a caveat. A lot can change in a year, especially for the Waldrop family. The six youngest children are all healthy, and can all swim!
Remember, they lived in it for months on end. But even in the big house, those six three-year-olds were a big handful for their mom. Fortunately, they are two years older than that now and last week they celebrated their fifth birthday. I never missed a show, loved it but understand they need a breask. I really hope the show comes back at some point in the near future though.

Once all the babies were safely home, "Sweet Home Sextuplets" focused on Eric and Courtney Waldrop's everyday challenges as a sudden family of eleven. In addition to their active sons Saylor, Bridge and Wales, they now had six healthy babies who kept them busy with diaper changes, feedings, and demands for attention. The Waldrops also own a small farm with cattle, sheep and chickens, making their schedule nonstop.
Courtney has shared multiple videos on Instagram of their swimming progress. In a long Instagram caption she said “I’m so so proud of them I could cry!! Secondly – Courtney has a right to post whatever she wants when she wants.
